A fresh 2016 Christmas rock-POP track has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key intention of bringing awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket website .
The tracks title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a distinctive up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo track since then looking forward to the chance to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used local session musicians to record the track over a 6 week period. The track consists of 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was done in the USA due to Mark needed the best outcome and quality. The music ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The key goal of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day web site as we are able to and then ideally in-turn they’ll be good enough to give to one or all the Phuket island charities, and to also download the song.
The other definitive goal is to get enough downloads of the music to help fund and setup a Phuket live music club with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, which will present free classes and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the area’s colleges and children’s orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open right now but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to advertise his music Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was working in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous ways to greatly help including a Phuket Accommodation and budget flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every penny helps.
