Some soaps scrub off your makeup products but are insane-severe onto the skin. Some are milder…but abandon residue in the day right behind. Then, there is the sacred grail: micellar water.
The water-dependent facial cleanser was designed by Jean-Noel Thorel, the French founding father of the skincare series Bioderma. Micellar water was created to cleanse and hydrate because the naturally hard tap water was too harsh on skin, leading to dry, dull complexions.
“Difficult touch water is arrested for a high number of dissolved vitamins,” says Julie Russak, MD, of Russak Dermatology Center in NYC. “These could modify the defensive barrier of the skin as well as weaken it, generating skin susceptible and susceptible to environmental damage and pollution.”
Who can use cleansing water?
These days, micellar water is easily offered and is also considered a hero product since it’s excellent for all kinds of skin, (even those with delicate skin swear by it). Which is a total game-changer, it’s also ideal for packing when you’re on-the-go because you can use it to remove wash and makeup your face without having to rinse it off.
