This innocuous book came to my attention in 2005 and contains passed through my hands several times since. I had no inclination to peruse its contents for I had ceased to imagine in miracles. In 2005, I had been cursing God for abandoning me. I became using all of my energy to push away the hell I descended into Fifteen years earlier by marrying a man as un-Godly as anyone could be.
In 2007, while packing some books as donations for any book fair, my hand yet again fell on “A Course in Miracles”. By this time, I needed secured divorce from my partner but was still being dealing with the fallout. As I grasped the novel, I became very thoughtful and calm. What was it about it book that invoked feelings I hadn’t experienced in some time? My hand clung to the book refusing to set it down. Acknowledging that it was an indication that we ought to take particular notice, I created a ballewick and sat in my favorite reading chair. With great curiosity, I dedicated to nowhere hardcover and browse “A Course in Miracles, the groundwork for inner peace.” Wow. That was a reasonably bold statement but okay, I chose to bite. Going for a deep breath, I pondered the most apparent question: Exactly what is the foundation for inner peace? This book instantly opened a classic wound and it had better possess the response to healing.
“A Course in Miracles” is that, a training course. Written in three parts, this book isn’t being taken lightly and can’t be read in a week or even a month. There is certainly text, a workbook for college kids as well as a manual for teachers. I had the sudden urge to fling the book throughout the room because I was deeply and profoundly afraid. I instinctively understood that once I started looking over this book, I had been going to have to change and it was I ready for that journey ahead?
The best movie is “The Matrix”. The key character Neo is seeking the reply to the matrix. He understands the matrix exists but he doesn’t understand what it really is. The man with the answer, Morpheus, contacts Neo and offers the ability for truth giving Neo an option between going for a blue pill or perhaps a red pill. Take the blue pill and grow ignorant or make red pill and find the solution to the matrix. Before he reaches for his pill of, Morpheus cautions Neo which should he pick the red pill, they can never get back to the life span he been living.
“A Course in Miracles” may be the red pill. Must i see clearly and modify everything I am aware concerning the world and myself or should i consider the blue pill to make “A Course in Miracles” book fair fodder?
While i choke down the red pill, I flip to Lesson 1 of 365 in the workbook for young students and promptly read, “Nothing within this room means anything”. Oh dear. Would it be far too late to take the blue pill?
