How weddings have changed in the decades! From a handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight marriage ceremony members; a simple wedding car to expensive and enormous wedding cars; three course meals in order to six course meals; 1 to 3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
Talking about aforementioned, wedding speeches are nevertheless a fundamental part of a married relationship and guests do look ahead to hearing them, referring to them before, during as wll as after they’ve been delivered.
We know of wedding speeches delivered prior to meal, throughout the meal and after the meal, yet it is of your strong opinion the wedding speeches should be delivered as soon as the meal. I am aware that for several wedding party speakers i.e. Father of the Bride Speech, Father from the father of the bride speech (the five main speakers), they will want to contain the wedding speeches prior to the meal, so they can enjoy their meal (a lot of them are paying for it!). However, all is here the invited guests and how many of them (and even the marriage venue staff) would prefer the marriage speeches to become delivered following your meal for a lot of reasons, most of which include:
The invited guests have already been fed and watered and aren’t paying attention to wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which will be the case prior to the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival on the wedding venue)
Food could be cooked and served at the agreed time (introduce the marriage speeches before the meal and their could be a delay of Fifteen minutes to a single.5 hours, driving your home staff crazy continuing to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The marriage speeches work as the transition from the meal to the dancing (broke happening after the meal, everyone is expecting ‘a few words’ to become shared regarding the Bride & Groom then they are fully aware they could stand up, move, take a break, go for a walk, go to the bar…)
It’s not easy for moms and dads with the Bride & Groom to communicate in in public, as most of them would not be used of computer. So, they could, should they so wished, speak prior to / their meal.
There should always be some sort of formal wedding speech(es) following the meal…
