How weddings have changed on the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight bridal party members; a straightforward wedding car to expensive and big wedding cars; three course meals to course meals; one-three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
While we’re talking about the second, wedding speeches remain a fundamental part of a married relationship and guests do look ahead to hearing them, speaking about them before, during and even after they’ve been delivered.
We have all heard of wedding speeches delivered prior to meal, in the meal after your food, yet it is of the strong opinion that this wedding speeches should be delivered following the meal. I realize that for many marriage ceremony speakers i.e. Father with the Bride Speech, Father in the father of the groom speech (the 5 main speakers), they’d prefer to possess the wedding speeches prior to the meal, for them to enjoy their meal (many of them are spending money for it!). However, it is all about the invited guests and exactly how many of them (as well as the marriage venue staff) would like the wedding ceremony speeches to get delivered after the meal for a lot of reasons, some of which include:
The invited guests are already fed and watered and aren’t paying attention to wedding speeches before eating any breakfast (at least of food, which may be so prior to meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival in the wedding venue)
Food can be cooked and served at the agreed time (introduce the marriage speeches prior to meal in addition to their could be a delay of Fifteen minutes to at least one.5 hours, driving your home staff crazy continuing to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The marriage speeches act as the transition in the meal to the dancing (without a penny happening as soon as the meal, folks are expecting ‘a few words’ being shared concerning the Bride & Groom then they understand they can get out of bed, move, have a break, take a stroll, navigate to the bar…)
It’s a challenge for parents from the Bride & Groom to communicate in public, as most of them couldn’t survive used of computer. So, they could, whenever they so wished, speak prior to the / their meal.
There should always be some sort of formal speech(es) after the meal…
