When NEWS Is way too Much Information

The cast of characters are settling set for their new situations. They are that nothing much must be happening to upset that world, yet, these are surprisingly wrong.

This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue discovers authentically as a comedy of errors and misinformation. The premise is not hard enough and just subtle enough use a good base.

Ma Foster provides housing on her “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. Currently the three in residence are missing. Ma makes a problem about it. She even travels to a nearby newspaper once the local police don’t act upon her fears. She does fascinate the out-of-work detective, the brand new editor with the local newspaper and last but not least the location itself.

The central character is Henrietta, who had previously been named as soon as the town under consideration, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Henrietta provides extensive going for her nowadays, she’s got moved to the important city, OKC, OK and landed work using the local t.v. station. Of course this will not help your journalistic career, it can get her in the heart of Leisure and events of the morning. The most common players for Henryetta are Wynona Sue, Henrietta’s hairdresser mother stars in the “reality” show, see later. Her husband, Professor LeHough, a nearby bug expert is bald from a surprise shaving. Rodney, Henrietta’s boyfriend, camera man buddy and overall best ally is pulled and tugged by Henrietta and her immediate boss Miss Peg. Harold Mixon, the dog owner and editor emeritus with the local weekly newspaper, just lately put online is looking to use a pleasant and quiet Labor Day weekend together with his friends in the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.).

One other main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor with the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private detective which has a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo as the “reality” show director looking to shot a pilot for a new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, as a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round good old boy, comes to town to help in his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.

Once these people try the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With an increase of rumors then this facts probably warrant, a few missing girls be plus much more objects of speculation and intrigue while almost no factual facts are given. The rumors start mild as the missing girls are simply looked for by Ma and Maximo.

These rumors and gossip finally run up to a major “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading within the news and therefore the townspeople.
