The cast of characters are settling in for their new situations. They think that nothing much should be happening to upset that world, yet, they may be surprisingly wrong.

This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue results in authentically as being a comedy of errors and misinformation. The premise is simple enough and merely subtle enough to supply a good base.

Ma Foster provides housing on her behalf “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. Currently the three in residence are missing. Ma constitutes a big deal about it. Harold Mixon, the property owner and editor emeritus of the local weekly newspaper, just recently put online is attempting to have a very pleasant and quiet Labor Day weekend with his friends with the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.).

The other main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor of the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private detective with a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo since the “reality” show director attempting to shot an airplane pilot to get a new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, as being a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round traditional boy, involves town to help in his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.

Once these folks become involved in the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With increased rumors then the facts probably warrant, the 3 missing girls be plus more objects of speculation and intrigue while little or no factual details are given. The rumors start off mild since the missing girls are merely searched by Ma and Maximo.

These rumors and gossip finally run up to a serious “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading on the news therefore the townspeople.
