You can’t walk one city block without encountering someone, plus much more often lots of people, trying to text and walk, usually badly.


Despite mass awareness, legislative change and police clamp downs you are unable to commute home without passing people with their phones of their hand. We want never again must wait minutes to listen for what is the news, or even a sports score… our smartphone delivers it to all of us AND even lets us know when they get it!

If we made rational decisions only then do we would schedule time for you to check our email, as it fits in with the work.

We would keep in contact with relatives and buddies, but periodically at lunch or even throughout an afternoon break.

We’d not want to understand what is the news “as it happens” because we would be centered on the work available, which most era of a few days is our obligation.

In meetings we would squeeze thing away, provide constructive input on the meeting and address everything else following your meeting.

We would employ hands-free technology inside our cars to chat while driving. However our eyes will be on the road and our hands guiding the car… not texting our friends.

A rational choice is usually to drive our day, to become as productive as is possible and to utilize smartphone as a tool.
