Although statistics indicate that fewer people go to the films, as well as those that do go rarely see all of the movies nominated to the Academy Awards, the broadcast of those awards is nearly always has one of several largest audiences, installing this country, but all over the world. Invariably, the show is way too long, somewhat boring generally, with little theatrical value. This year’s awards were no exception.
In fact, unlike some years, there is really little or no suspense concerning the winners. Just about all that won any category were widely predicted, as well as the speeches were too long. The work for balance using a “younger hipper” set of hosts, as well as the first co-ed pairing onstage simultaneously, did little to boost the show’s viewability. Both hosts seemed like pleasant enough people, but seemed clumsy and quite often uncomfortable in this setting.
The pre-Awards show, they refer to as the Red Carpet, was just interesting to anyone who wants to gaze upon the outfits warn from the celebrities. The inane interviews predominantly asked precisely the same question about who designed the gowns, and added next to nothing for the viewer’s experience besides a way show.
I had been very grateful that my partner finally even had motor the show, and “permitted” me to watch almost all of the better half with the N.B.A. game between your Miami Heat and Nyc Knicks. Fortunately, that it was being a fantastic and fairly well played game, regardless of whether in our professional sports world, it happens being about one teams millionaire superstars versus the others. And, for a lifelong Knick fan, it turned out fun to watch the Knickerbockers drop by Miami and defeat the heralded Heat team!
Naturally, the second the basketball game was over, We had to change the channel to the Oscars 2017 live stream, to endure more than yet another hour of tedium. So, why are the Oscars quite popular? After passing on some thought, I really believe it’s probably because it is the supreme way of escapism, the truth show to “end” all reality shows! Some see the show as fans with the stars, some to watch the expensive clothes worn, some to root for a few type of “wardrobe malfunction,” and a few to only manage to discuss the show within their office on the water cooler the following day.
We must not be surprised the Oscars broadcast is really popular. All things considered, reality shows like American Idol, Survivor, The Bachelor, game shows, etc., invariably find yourself on top of the viewer ratings. Perhaps we could consider the Oscars a kind of non combat sport, although in Hollywood there’s often lots of “contact” and positively melodrama.
I’ll not understand why the Oscars are so popular, nonetheless it is apparently a worldwide phenomena. The glamor, or living vicariously, or hero worship, or simply plain little else to perform, contributes to get this to popularity possible!
